|Experience||Growing up in NZ’s small central North island town of Turangi, mountains and rivers were always near by. When I was 15 I saved up and brought my first kayak, A Sevylor inflatable. In this I developed my love for whitewater with my mum dropping me and my younger brother 10km up the Tongariro river from where we lived and us paddling home. Before long I realised plastic was fantastic and made the switch. Buying the cheapest kayak I could find at the local store – a pink quality kayaks turbo.
13 years later I still haven't been able to kick the buzz and am still constantly amazed by the spectacular places we are able to access while in our kayaks that nobody else can.
In the last couple of years I’ve also become more and more interested in my photography as this gives me an avenue to share some of the amazing places I’ve been fortunate to experience with others.
