Ever wondered how to reseal your dry top when your neck gaskets need to be replaced? Here is a do it yourself instructional video on how to easily replace your neck gaskets on your dry top. With a few easy steps and the right tools, your dry top will be re-sealed and ready to go.
Lets start with the basics; You will need a neck seal kit, sandpaper, aqua-seal, a paddle pop stick, a cup that holds your new neck gasket and some masking tape or double sided tape.
Step 1: Make sure your dry top is dry, then trim your old gasket without any vertical cuts.
Step 2: Using a piece of wood, create a stable platform for your dry top and stick the dry top to the wood so it sits flat with some double sided tape or masking tape backed up on itself.
Step 3: Using sandpaper, score the underside of your old gasket and the top edges of your new gasket.
Step 4: Using a cup or something that will hold the new gasket, make sure it sits flat on top of your old gasket.
Step 5: With aqua-seal, apply a line of seam seal glue around the old neck seal.
Step 6: spread the glue so it is about an inch on your old gasket.
Step 7: apply a semicircular piece of wood on top and attach it using the clips.
Step 8: leave for 12-24 hours to dry.
And there you have it.
