All of our products are developed by paddlers, for paddlers in our Arcata, CA facility. Our dry suits are individually tested and inspected for complete dry performance before they leave the factory. If it leaks as a result of something we\\u2019ve done, we\\u2019ll repair or replace it at no cost to you.\\n\\n####We encourage our customers to utilize our service facilities to maintain the top performance of your Kokatat products. Customer satisfaction is at the foundation of our business practices and we will always work to ensure that our products perform at the highest level as intended.\\n\\n__Expectations__\\n\\nK\\u014dkatat continually pursues and uses the highest quality and most rugged materials available to build our products. Unfortunately, incidental damage may occur during use. The often-harsh paddling environment, combined with our customers\\u2019 desire to paddle hard and push limits, are a challenge for even the finest materials and manufacturing techniques. Materials used on K\\u014dkatat products are durable\\u2014but they are not indestructible. These materials must combine the performance necessary for staying safe and dry with the comfort needed for multi-day paddle trips and maximizing freedom of movement . K\\u014dkatat thoroughly evaluates and selects materials to balance these needs.\\n\\nZippers must be precision built with very narrow tolerances for error to be waterproof. The zipper teeth must align almost perfectly to create a waterproof seal. Improper care, including lack of lubrication and lack of cleaning, will result in zippers\\u2019 inability to function properly. If your zipper gets stuck do not force it. Forcing a zipper will damage the teeth and cause it to leak. If your zipper will not close, back the zipper up, clean and lubricate the zipper teeth in front of the slide. Regular cleaning and lubrication will make your zipper easier to use and increase its lifespan. Zipper slides should always be pulled in line with the zipper teeth. Pulling the slide at an angle away from the zipper teeth may result in the slide coming off track.\\n\\nA few words on latex gaskets; latex is in part made from natural compounds which will degrade over time and use. Like tires on a car, you should plan to replace them. Longevity varies widely and is dependent on multiple factors such as degree of use, paddling conditions, proper care and storage. Utilizing the original production techniques, both these facilities are focused solely on restoring the waterproof performance of our garments. Select<\\\/strong><\\\/p> To start your factory repair, go to our repair & maintenance<\\\/a> page, and select all of the factory repair products your garment needs and add them to your cart.<\\\/p> 2. Checkout<\\\/strong><\\\/p> Once you have all repair services your garment(s) need in your cart, proceed to checkout. (During checkout you will prepay for return shipping.)<\\\/p> 3. Write<\\\/strong><\\\/p> Complete your purchase and you will receive a confirmation number on your confirmation email. Write the confirmation number on the outside of your box, and ship your Kokatat garment to:<\\\/p> Kokatat, Inc.<\\\/strong> Please ship your repair to Kokatat, Inc. within two (2) business days of receiving your order confirmation number. The repair will expire if we do not receive it at our Arcata, CA factory within ten (10) business days of its creation. Please wash and allow your garment to dry before sending to Kokatat, Inc. for repairs. There will be a $25 charge for unwashed items. For front loading washers use a small amount of liquid detergent, cold wash setting and hang to dry.
