“If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” - Mark Twain
A lifelong fisherman, through kayak fishing, Dan has evolved into a technical angler, who feels most alive amidst a fresh breeze and salt spray.
Although most at home fishing the salt, Dan has learned to appreciate the diverse, local, urban whitewater fishery of the James River in Richmond, VA.
Dan began his professional life on the water commercial fishing in Alaska. After earning his 100 ton Captain’s License, his life endured a course correction for the better, and began a second career in Commercial Woodwork. A twelve year veteran of the industry, Dan is now the Pre-Production Manager for a Richmond based Architectural Millwork Contractor.
Dan’s goal is to be a reliable resource for fellow fisher people, and believes that raising your children to be good people in the world is the only endeavor truly worth undertaking. All the rest is icing.
Dan credits his wife, Jennifer, with giving him good cause to stay on course. They are happily raising 2 girls in Richmond, VA.
