Isaac Levinson started kayaking at the age of 13 and always keeps an interesting and fresh perspective on his kayaking career. He is passionate about the river and the community that makes it what it is. “Kayaking has given me the opportunity to travel the world and experience such amazing things,” says Isaac.
Growing up in Atlanta with the river just a few steps from his house, Isaac spent most of his time there escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. He began slalom racing at age 15, and by 18 was the top boat on the Jr. National Team. At college he discovered a love for adventure and exploring natural rivers, and soon developed a passion for running big waterfalls. “I have always tried to be well rounded and do multiple disciplines,” Isaac explains. “It was a natural progression for me to cross into the sport of extreme racing.”
Isaac holds titles at some of the biggest extreme races in the world, including Green Race Champion, GoPro Mountain Games Steep Creek Champion, and the Little White Race.
Living in White Salmon WA allows Isaac the ability to train on the highest caliber rivers alongside some of the best paddlers in the world. “The PNW has become one of my favorite places to paddle because of consistent water flows year around, pristine rivers with amazing whitewater, and a crew that is down to charge every day,” says Isaac. Isaac has the style and precision of a slalom paddler and is pushing some of the biggest whitewater and creeks the world has to offer, and he happens to be a really cool guy.
