I couldn't be more excited about this vest! Though a seemingly small detail, I very much appreciate that there are multiple locations to store gear. This especially matters when I try to pull myself back up into the raft from the water. One big, full pocket can make it nearly impossible to get back in the boat, but because that volume is spread out, it's much more manageable. Thanks for making another great piece of gear!
Great vest, fits awesome! I couldn't find the yellow vest in Canada so I ordered it online from kokatat.com to get here for the holidays and the only issue I had was when it arrived I discovered I was sent an American Approved and not a Canadian Approved jacket. Unfortunately, I cant use that vest in any official capacity here in Canada as it would fail a regulatory inspection so I contacted Kokatat to find a solution. I was able to send it back where kokatat received and inspected it. They then resent the appropriate vest which fortunately arrived before the holidays. Never ran a Kokatat vest before and the water is solid right now so the review is only based on fit, feel, looks, service and shipping.
The robustness of the back and waist padding is excellent. Recently I landed on a launch railing while disembarking a Merchant vessel. This life lifevest prevented broken bones.
